Deals! Service! and Quality! Saturday, February 17th, 2012

The above 3 terms, are what every shopper looks for----whether you are a fanatic like me :), or whether you are the type of person who only purchases what you absolutely need to.

Two places that I find always give me all 3 of the above are Walgreens!  Their "Register Rewards", and clearance aisles are wonderful ways to save money, and get really cute items very inexpensively.  If you are a teacher you should always check their clearance aisles---they have cute little items for your treasure box, at low prices.
Today I would like to give a "shout out" to Chelsea, who checked me out at the Walgreen's by Mercy Hospital.  To take advantage of the "Register Rewards" to their maximum extent, can be time consuming and confusing.  She was so sweet to me, as I was making the best use of my "Register Rewards".
A super couponer like myself can drive a poor clerk nuts, trying to get the best prices, by combining regular coupons with "Register Rewards", and at times having to make multiple transactions to do so.  On occasion, rarely, I have had clerks be short with me, because they didn't want to take the time.  Honestly, I completely understand.  However, even though I do understand, and don't begrudge those less than friendly checkers, when I get one like Chelsea, it makes my day!  I hope her manager knows how lucky he/she is to have her.

I was at JCPenney's yesterday, and got such great $2 deals, that I went back again today, and got more.  I think everyone is going to love the "New"  Penney's way of pricing.  Penney's has announced that they are going to be making their major markdowns on the 1st and 3rd Friday every month.  Even if you don't get a chance to visit on those weekends---if you are at the mall, you should at least walk through---no matter what day it is, because here is what happens.  Customers get their items home, and they didn't fit, or they just didn't like they way it looked, or they decided after looking in their closet that they already have too much of that style, color, etc.  So what happens is they return their great deal, which means any day of the week, you happen to walk through, you could score something fantastic for practically nothing.  I am a big proponent of now is the time to do your Christmas shopping for next year.  Especially if you have a large family, and have lots of people to buy for.  It will make your holiday, so much happier---you got great gifts, you didn't break the bank, and you weren't doing it at a time when the stores were so crowded and your time was so limited, that you were stressed over how much you spent, and exhausted.  A bad combination!

Have a nice President's Weekend!
Cindy
